Apple Chips

Apple Chips

Apple chips are a crispy, naturally sweet snack that’s both delicious and easy to make! With just a few simple ingredients, you can transform fresh apples into a light and crunchy treat perfect for snacking.

Apple chips are my go-to snack when I crave some crunch! These apple chips are thinly sliced, lightly sprinkled with cinnamon, and baked to perfection! Unlike store bought versions, these are baked instead of fried & contain no added sugar! Not only are these a healthy & sweeter alternative to potato chips, but they're ridiculously easy to make!

One warning I have about these chips is that they are so good that they are addicting! Be prepared to make a few batches because one batch will not last long. But because apples & cinnamon are a healthy snack, you eat as much as your hearts content!

Ingredients:

Apples

Besides from being delicious (obviously) apples are a great source of vitamin C, fiber, & antioxidants! Making apple chips a fantastic food to snack on.

Cinnamon

You can't bake apples without a little bit of cinnamon. Duh!

Basic Instructions:

  1. Slice apples into thin slices. Thinner slices will make crispier chips.
  2. Lay apple slices onto a parchment lined baking sheet & sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon on top.
  3. Bake at 200°F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until crispy.
  4. Let cool & enjoy!

Apple Chips

Yield: 4 - 5 Servings | Prep: 10 Minutes | Cook: 1 1/2 to 2 Hours

Ingredients:

  • 7 Apples of Choice

  • Cinnamon to Taste

            Instructions:

  1. Start by moving your oven rack to the middle section of your oven & pre-heating it to 200°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Wash & thinly slice your apples horizontally. The thinner the slices, the crispier they will be. Remove the core by using a piping tip.

  3. Arrange the apples in a single layer onto the parchment lined baking sheets. Sprinkle with desired amount of cinnamon. Bake for 1 & half to 2 hours or until they reach the desired crispiness. To check crispiness levels, grab a chip off of the baking sheet and let it cool for 3 minutes. Once they reach the desired crispiness, let cool but do not remove from baking sheet unless you have overcooked them. The remaining heat from the pan will ensure that the apple chips are extra crispy!

  4. Serve or store in an air tight container in a cool, dry place. Enjoy!
